Firefighters rush to extinguish vehicle fire on Highway 14

Firefighters work to control a fire in the engine compartment of a Honda sedan before it spread to the surrounding brush on northbound Highway 14, south of Newhall Avenue, around 9:30 p.m. on Monday. No injuries were reported, and according to the driver, “All of a sudden there was smoke pouring out from under the hood.”
