Delta has announced plans to resume service to Cuba next year, following a three-year hiatus as a result of Covid-19.

The US carrier restarted flights to the Caribbean island in 2016 after a gap of 55 years, but was forced to suspend service in March 2020 following the onset of the pandemic.

Delta will offer a twice-daily route between Miami and Havana from April 10, 2023, operated with A320 aircraft configured with first class, Delta Comfort + and Main Cabin seats.

Schedules will be as follows:

  • Flight DL1787 departs Miami at 0905, arriving in Havana at 1020
  • Flight DL1788 departs Havana at 1155, arriving in Miami at 1305
  • Flight DL1789 departs Miami at 1340, arriving in Havana at 1500
  • Flight DL1790 departs Havana at 1625, arriving in Miami at 1735

Simpleflying.com reports that United Airlines resumed flights to Havana in November, with four carriers currently serving Cuba – American Airlines, Jetblue, United and Southwest.
