Jake Quickenden hit out at Dancing on Ice producers on Sunday after seeing barely any footage of him in the show’s best bits compilation.

Having postponed the skating competition due to the number of stars having to pull out of the current series, ITV put together a highlight reel of Dancing on Ice’s 13 seasons.

However Jake, who won the competition in 2018 with Vanessa Bauer got hardly any airtime.

The father-to-be took to Twitter to express his disappointment. He wrote: “Gutted watching Dancing on Ice tonight, had so many amazing memories and unfortunately didn’t get to see any!!”

The star tried to make sense of the producers’ decisions, saying: “I guess they have loads of footage to fit into 2 hours!!! Always have the amazing memories though! Good to watch tonight, been some incredible skaters.”

Another former Dancing on Ice contestant who wasn’t best pleased with their airtime in the best bits show was Lauren Goodger.

The former TOWIE star, who is pregnant with her first child, wrote: “Same as me I was hoping would show my year of me … and my training and performances !!”

Jake said he was “gutted” not to see more clips of him skating in the show

She went on to say candidly that she definitely “needed a dif partner” and that they should have shown her “good performance and how vile the judges were.” The star was coupled with pro skater Michael Zenezini and left in the second week of the 2013 competition.

Over the course of the show, Jake tweeted a few times. In one, he took the opportunity to remind Dancing on Ice that he received 40 from the judges for one of his performances.

“I got perfect score @dancingonice just letting you know,” he wrote.

Jake also quote tweeted a fan who’s said: “ Disappointed they’re not showing more of @JakeQuickenden routines on DOI, I loved his routines but they showed more of Ray and Perry. Jake was just as amazing and my favourite.” They added the hashtag, “#letsseemorejake.”

Many of Jake’s followers responded to his disappointment saying they felt the same way.

One wrote: “You’re definitely one of the best skaters/winners to have ever done the show buddy. I remember watching you every week and it was always a joy to watch, like many I was so happy for you/Vanessa when you won as you deserved it so much. Always one of my favourites.

Another said: “Jake you were a legend, absolutely brilliant. Loved you on tour. Don’t know why you weren’t included more, obviously they had loads to pack in but your routines deserved more of an airing.”
