Dancing On Ice has had it’s fair share of gory moments over the years, and in tonight’s opening episode, we saw Rebekah Vardy slash her skating partner Andy Buchanan’s face open.
The mum-of-five, who slammed footballers who break Covid-19 rules, was busy rehearsing and while attempting a flip, she accidentally clipped her blade into Andy’s face.
Andy’s face began to pour out blood and he was rushed to hospital to get treated.
The 38 year old was left horrified by the incident and told the camera: “I can’t describe the feeling of having hurt him.”

Once the pair had performed, host Holly Willoughby asked Andy how he was doing after the incident.
The professional skater responded: “It’s ok, this is what we do, it’s dangerous. She’s wanting to push it and so am I.”
Viewers were left shocked by the incident and took to Twitter to share their views.
One person wrote: “I couldn’t do dancing on ice. The injury’s on the show over the years would put me of for life.”
“Watching Dancing on Ice. Some rather serious injuries this year. Love this show though!,” another fan expressed.
Another Twitter user argued: “Just watched first episode of Dancing On Ice. Two people had to go to A and E because of skating accidents.
“Our NHS is pushed to capacity at the moment. Surely skating isn’t essential just now!! #DancingOnIce.”
Rebekah was announced as a contestant on this year’s line-up on Good Morning Britain in September.
Speaking about her appearance, she said: “My dad taught me how to stand up in a pair of skates when I was about seven years old.
The I’m A Celebrity star, who admitted she was worried about ‘wetting herself’, continued: “I’m really excited actually. The only time I’ve been ice skating since is when I take the kids to the ice rink at Christmas.”
When asked what husband Jamie Vardy thinks of her joining the show, the brunette beauty gushed: “He think it’s such a brilliant idea.
“He’s really looking forward to watching me and says he hopes i don’t fall over too much.”
