With three elaborate set menus and a vegetarian set menu starting from S$118++ per person, the 8-Course Chinese New Year eight prosperity dishes are perfect to usher in a bountiful Year of the Rabbit with your loved ones. Designed for a minimum of 4 pax, Shang Social’s set menus include Yu Sheng, signature selections and a slew of auspicious dishes curated for this festive occasion.
Those who prefer to select their own dishes will be delighted by an elevated a la carte menu. Expect to be in for a treat as food traditionally eaten during Chinese New Year gets presented in a modern way. Representing fortune and health, the flavourful Braised Bird’s Nest with Fish Maw, Dried Scallop, Shredded Abalone and Sea Cucumber 包罗万象 – 瑶柱鲍参花胶烩燕窝 is an abundance of Chinese delicacies, braised to a gelatinous consistency. The soup is a good source of collagen and nutrients and offers a boost to good health.
One of the most important symbolic dishes, the Poached Soon Hock with Shredded Ginger and Tangerine 年年有余 – 生氽陈皮姜丝蒸笋壳鱼 is imbue with an extra meaning. Ubiquitous in Cantonese cuisine, tangerine peel is added to the steamed fish, adding a layer of sweetness and a light citrusy fragrance.
Laugh your way to good fortune with the Braised Fish Paste Noodles and Prawn with Silver Fish X.O Sauce 繁华似锦 – 极品酱鲜虾鱼茸面, a delectable delight tossed in an umami Silver Fish X.O sauce concoction that is made in-house.
The highlight of every Chinese New Year feast, usher in good luck and prosperity with the Fortune Yu Sheng with Smoked Salmon 三文鱼捞生 ($68). The platter features a tri-colour vegetable medley, and smoked salmon and is finished with a sweet and zesty house-made passionfruit sauce. Apart from crunchy crackers, Shang Social’s Yu Sheng is crowned with pop-in-your-mouth lychee boba for a burst of fruity deliciousness. Additional toppings include Abalone ($38), Surf Clam ($18), White Bait ($16) and Fortune Fish Skin ($18).
Desserts are a must-have during Chinese New Year to represent a sweet life ahead. Adding to the delicious mix of traditional Pan-Fried Nian Gao ($$9.80/ serving of 3 pcs) and Chilled Wolfberry Osmanthus Layer Jelly with Coconut ($9.80/ serving of 4 pcs), the little ones will be delighted with the limited-time White Rabbit Creamy Pudding 双兔贺岁 – 大白兔奶糖布丁 ($9.80/ serving of 2 pcs) created in the shape of a rabbit with the iconic and nostalgic white rabbit milk candy.

The restaurant will be opened throughout Chinese New Year. Lunch starts 11:30am to 3:00pm on Monday to Thursday and 11:30am to 4:00pm for Friday to Sunday, Eve and Public Holidays. Dinner starts 5:00pm to 10:00pm daily.
