Max Baer Jr. (Born in 1937 – Oakland)

Max Baer Jr. is the son of Max Baer Sr., a former heavyweight boxing champion. But unlike his dad, he took up the arts as a screenwriter, producer, director, and actor. After being typecast for the role of Jethro Bodine in the 1962 hit TV show “The Beverly Hillbillies,” he needed something else to do.

After more than 70 years in Hollywood, he is alive though not very active on screen. As of 2021, he’s reported to be the only surviving cast member of “The Beverly Hillbillies,” which, according to a 2022 Outsider article, made him experience identity issues.
