Dior Beauty is relaunching a new campaign this March for the Dior Addict lipstick collection. The brand has selected Blackpink’s Jisoo, actress Anya Taylor-Joy and French artist Sharon Alexie to front it.
First designed as a fashion accessory, the iconic Dior Addict lipstick receives an elevating reinterpretation. Under the guidance of Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Makeup, the new collection is formulated with 90 per cent natural origin ingredients and infused with floral lip care. The lipsticks also allow extreme shine and accentuate liberated femininity.
Shot by Liz Collins, the campaign film features each remarkable woman in their element and where they are most creative. Along with the tagline “the new shine lipstick”, we see Korean singer Jisoo with a corded mic, British-American actress Taylor-Joy modelling, as well as French artist Alexie making art. The contrast in fluid movements and fleeting shots creates a sense of awe and desire.
The French luxury house has certainly chosen glowing and fitting women as the faces of the renowned lipstick. According to WWD, Dior stated that each talent “flaunts her own confident style, her highly creative world and, above all, her personality”.
The stills show each talent with dazzling lips and a silver Dior bag — simple yet fiercely bewitching. The product shots will be up on Dior’s beauty-owned digital channels on 1 March.
The new Dior Addict collection will be available in four gorgeous, refillable cases: metallic silver, classic black lacquer, raw denim and pink quilted leather. With 40 shades, the collection includes some fan favourites like the brick red Dior 8 and Christian Dior’s reimagined 100 Nude Look.
Also in other beauty news of reinventions, Louis Vuitton’s Les Extraits Collection has five new compositions. Crafted by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and architect Frank Gehry, the lovely fragrances are perfect for the forthcoming Spring season.
