Paddy Doherty is seriously ill in hospital with “double pneumonia” and coronavirus, his family has revealed.
The My Big Fat Wedding star, who was previously caught on video brawling with a teenager in front of shocked onlookers, is on oxygen to help him fight the virus and infection after he was rushed to hospital on Thursday 14 January.
The 61 year old’s wife Roseanne, who he has been married to for 44 years, announced the heartbreaking news on her Facebook page as she asked for her friends to pray for him.

“Please will everything pray for my paddy he has been taken in to hospital. He is not very well,” [sic] she first wrote.
She added: “Paddy has tested positive for COVID 19 please keep praying for him,” alongside a photo of them together.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner’s son Simey also took to his social media page to share a few additional details after asking for prayers, too.
“Can you please keep my father in prayer please as As he is been rushed to hospital,” [sic] he said.
Simey, whose father’s teenage nephew tragically died in a car crash in 2017, added: “Can everybody please keep my father in prayer as I was just speaking to him and he has got double pneumonia also claw seen in the lungs and tested positive for Covid he’s also on oxygen keep my father in prayer”. [sic]
Friends were quick to comment on the news as one person wrote: “Ah mate sorry to hear this. Hope he gets better soon,” followed by a praying hands emoji.
A second said: “We well all keep him in prayer I well get everyone to prayer for your daddy he be okay the help of God simey,” [sic] with three praying hands emojis.
Another commented: “Praying for paddy to get well soon ….he is a big strong man with the lord Lon his side ,” [sic] with four praying hands emojis.
While a fourth added: “Paddy is strong plus he is a good person so he will be alright”.
