Accor has opened a flagship Novotel next to Mexico City’s World Trade Center.
The 106-room hotel includes suites featuring one of the four new design concepts unveiled by Novotel last year.
At the time Accor said that the Sundukovy Sisters design “blends business with pleasure and mixes well-being among unique ‘co-living’ spaces that embrace lively, social surroundings, current trends and timeless comforts”.
Facilities include a fitness centre, meeting room, and all day dining Delia Bistro restaurant and bar, offering “Mediterranean flavours with Mexican flare” and featuring wall murals by Mexican artist Rocca Luis Cesar.
Accor’s 34th property in Mexico joins the existing Novotel Mexico City Santa Fe, and the recently opened Novotel Mexico City Toreo.
The opening also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Novotel brand in the country.
Commenting on the news Nicolas Martinez Matallana, vice president of development, Accor Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
“Accor continues to experience strong growth in Mexico, having nearly doubled our footprint in the market in just the past five years.
“With a solid development pipeline of over ten properties scheduled to open within the next couple of years, we are enthusiastic to further expand our portfolio in this thriving market.”
Last year Accor announced plans to debut its lifestyle Hyde brand in Mexico, with a hotel and branded residences in the coastal town of Mazatlan.
