It’s really happening! I’ve been waiting 195 days, but tomorrow I’ll finally be traveling to another country again. To be honest, I’m excited and a bit nervous at the same time. I’ll be visiting Essen and Duisburg, two cities in Germany’s Ruhr Area not far from the Dutch border. It’s not a destination you see all over Instagram or that I could find lots of blog posts about, which makes it all the more interesting to explore. But if you have any tips, please let me know! About this photo: this is one of the dining rooms at Plantage Rococo where I recently had a little staycation. Every room is so special, look at that cabinet 😍. On the mirror it says ‘Slow down, Be good’. It also lists all the delicious cakes they have, which I guess could be your reward for being good…
