Juno star Elliot Page has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Emma Portner, after coming out as transgender in December.
The actor, 33, is said to have filed legal documents in Manhattan to seek the dissolution of his marriage to Canadian professional dancer Emma, 26, three years after the pair tied the knot in January 2018, TMZ has reported.
Elliot’s reported divorce filing comes more than a month after he came out as a transgender male in a heartfelt statement.
The Umbrella Academy star posted the statement on his Twitter page.

He wrote: “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot.
“I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey.
“I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.”
Elliot added: “I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place.
“I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society.”
Shortly after making the moving announcement, Elliot shared a selfie on his Instagram and told his 4.5million followers in the caption: “From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your love and support has been the greatest gift.
“Stay safe. Be there for each other. If you are able, support @transanta and @translifeline See you in 2021 Xoxo Elliot”.
Elliot and Emma announced they had married with a sweet Instagram post in January 2018.
Elliot posted snaps of the pair’s wedding rings and a black and white photo of them leaning in for a kiss while sitting on some grass.
A final photo in Elliot’s Instagram announcement shows a snap of his new wife Emma.
He then wrote in the caption: “Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife.”
The couple are understood to have met on Instagram in 2017. Looking back on when Elliot first noticed Emma when she posted a dance video, which was shared by band Sylvan Esso, he said: “I thought, damn, this girl is so talented and so cool. I knew right away we were both creative spirits.”
